Superpower

Superpower

If I could have any superpower, actually I also want to have power to stop time.  But this power was already chosen by Bonnie.  So, I would choose ability to never gain weight even though I eat all I want.  I love to eat; also there are so many delicious and awesome foods in the world!  How can I forgive the foods?  Sometimes I’m really sad when I have to forgive the foods for diet.  Besides I’m so easy to get fat.  So, if I want to eat all I want, I should exercise more than 1 hour if I want to maintain weight.  If I have this ability, I might never mind when I eat!  Do you think this ability is too small? Or do you think you already have this ability?  How lucky people you are!  However, for me this ability is really needed and my wish.

What Am I Looking Forward to

I'm Looking Forward to My Mother

I’m looking forward to many things in August.  The best one of them is that my mother will come here for a one month.  Even though my other family members won’t come here, I’m so excited!  Maybe you guys already can understand how I’m feeling.  Also, my cousin Alex will get married in 4th of August in Chicago.  So, I will go there with my mother and relatives, than I will travel with my mother for a week.  We may go to Grand Canyon, San Diego, and San Francisco.  I’m excited about travel, but I’m more excited about meeting my mother than any other things!  I really want to talk a lot with her, and I’m also looking forward to her real Korean foods!  OMG!  However, I also worry about after she leaves here.  When she leaves here, I might sadder than when I leaved Korea.

Korean Thanksgiving Day Foods

What is My Favorite Holiday Food Memory

In Korea, there are two biggest holidays which are the lunar New Year’s Day and the Korean Thanksgiving Day.  Traditional foods eaten on these days are very similar.  I like the Korean Thanksgiving Day’s food more than New Year’s Day.  We call the Korean Thanksgiving Day as Chuseok.  Chuseok is every August 15th according to the lunar calendar.  We prepare a lot of food at Chuseok.  They are very various and little different each regions.  By the way, my favorite Chuseok foods are 'Dong grang Thang'(Korean style meat ball), 'Japchae'(Korean style noodles), 'Yakphab'(sweet sticky rice with nuts and dates), and 'Sujeong gwa'(persimmon punch).  I make a Korean style meat ball with all members of my family.  Because, making this meat ball needs many processes.  I like that time, even though it’s not easy to make.  Actually, I eat this meat ball more than other my family. ;)  Some Korean traditional foods are not easy to cook.  So, I can eat some kind of food only at Chuseok.  That’s why every after Chuseok I usually get fat.  Anyway, I can meet all of my family and relatives at Chuseok.  We cook together, and spend time.  It’s very warm time, and it can remind us sense of belonging.  I really miss my family, and the foods too!

If I Could Leave Tonight to Travel

Travel

If I could leave tonight to travel for a week?  I love this asking!  If I could leave tonight, of course I would go to Thailand.  I would prepare a big backpack, and I’d pack some light clothes, and some books.  I’d start my travel from Chiang Mai which is north of Thailand.  I’d stay there several days.  During that time, I’d find guest house that some people already stayed, and would spend a time with strange friends.  When I travel to strange place, I like to hang out with strange people.  Then go down to Bangkok which is capital of Thailand by night train.  I like train too much.  Especially, night train is awesome!  Train sounds, darkness outside of window, and feeling that I’m moving with lying.  When I’d arrive at Bangkok, I’d head to the Khaosan Road which is famous with backpacker.  And I’d borrow a bicycle to go to Chao Phraya River.  I like Thailand’s relaxedness and most of Thai people always smile to others.  It makes me smiling too.  I want to take a time for rest there.  Just thinking about it makes me happy!  Haha!  Anyway, although I can’t go to Thailand, I will go to Disney Land tomorrow!  So, I’m excited!  See you tomorrow!  ;)  Enjoy your weekend!

Grateful

What am I Grateful for Today,
                                and Why?

I’m grateful for my two friends who met in ALP.  It has been four months since I came here, and during the last four months, I have met a lot of various nice friends.  I’m grateful for my all the friends, but especially two friends B and J.  J is always passionate about study.  Besides, her English is pretty well.  When I talk with her, she correct kindly to my English.  Also, she recommends good way to study English for me.  It’s very useful, and helps to have passion for studying.  The other friend, B affects the way I live here.  B is very positive person.  I haven’t seen her angry so far.  When I talk with her, I can know she thanks everything.  I could realize why I don’t thank, even though I already had good opportunities.  These two friends give to me a passion and positive thinking.  I’m really grateful to met them.  Maybe you guys also have friends who affect to you.  Meeting good friends is very important I think J  Haha  Hopefully I will be good friend to someone ;)  Okay, That's all!  Have a good weekend !__!)/

ONEPIECE

Hi!  I'm Hyunju Lee.  I'm so glad to meet you in summer semester!
This blogging is my first time, besides it has to write in English!  So I'm little bit nervous.  haha
Okay!  Personally, I'd love to step into ‘Onepiece.’  Onepiece is Japanese famous comic book.  The story is about adventure of pirates.  Main characters adventure to whole world such as surface of sea, island where nobody lives, island where in sky, or nation of under the sea!  All of stories are very exciting and interesting!  This book is not only fun, but also very touching.  The story is overall very funny, but sometimes very serious. For example, main characters have each goal, belief. Sometimes they fight with their belief, or fight for justice. Besides, sometimes certain stories reflected our real world.  Also every character is having very various characteristics. So it is also one thing to interesting.  Oda Eiichiro who writer of Onepiece is very imaginative person.
When I first knew this book, I didn’t interest those kinds of comic book.  I usually liked romantic comic books.  However, when I read just volume 1, I couldn’t stop to read!  I really want to share this wonderful comic book with you guys! haha :)  Have a good weekend ^.^)/
